Dancing Queen

My favorite quality in a woman is great dancing ability. Of course being a real “dancer” (i.e. ballerina, hip hop, lyrical) is sexy and impressive, but I am not referring to only the professionals. I’m talking about THAT girl who owns the dance floor, VIP booth, or couch that she is standing on. The hip hop is playing, she’s standing in her small space, swaying her sexy waist back and forth, doing LITTLE things with her butt, hands, fingers, face, hair, shoulders, etc…that makes me think “yo, she got it and I want it.”  It means so much to me for the obvious reasons: it is sexy, fun, requires talent, rhythm etc…but a woman’s dancing transcends into so many different aspects of her personality.
I know what you’re thinking: “if she can dance well, then she can fuck well.” This is true. Rhythm in bed is necessary for both parties. In bedrooms (smush rooms) music is usually played in the background because sex is a dance. Let us call it “the choreography of loooooove.” (Bow chicka wow wow) If one person cannot follow said choreography the energy vibe is weakened and someone is not experiencing the Euphoria that they deserve (getting off.)
Besides making sex amazing, if a woman can dance it speaks to many aspects of her personality. A good-dancing woman is a confident woman. The key to reading confidence is recognizing body language. Next time you see a girl who is a good dancer look at her shoulders. A confident person will always have their chin up, shoulders back (dancing necessity), totally exposed to the world without worrying what she looks like because she knows “she got IT.”
If a girl can dance then she is probably chill. Physical rhythm is cool, fun, interesting, easy going, and smooth.  Body is connected to mind and soul hence those characteristics may transfer to her personality.
Now here is some advice for men (if you do not know already): when a girl who knows how to dance is dancing on you, your job is simple: virtually, DO NOTHING. Let her lead you with her waste and just follow with your hips. She does not like being smothered and your boner poking her through your True Religions. This leads me to my next positive personality trait of being a good dancer: the chase. Men do not like it if it’s too easy. But if she can lead you in a dance (she has to because you are behind her! Unless you want to be in front of her and miss out on that amazing booty) you are forced to follow her and she has the upper hand (drives men crazy.) Don’t worry you will have the upper hand later in the bedroom.
These are a few of many reasons why dancing is one of my most important characteristics in a woman. It all comes down to a girl with swagger. Swagger on the dance floor, in the bedroom, at a family party, or even walking down the street is key and dancing is an indication of if she has it. It is impossible to have swagger and not dance well.  I don’t care what race she is, physical appearance, a stripper, groupie, go go dancer, queen of England, on a stage, in a cage, pressing up against you, doing the Dougie, or by herself bobbing her head in the corner as she’s drunk BBMing, REMEMBER: not only is she a good dancer but she has IT. And you want IT my friends….you want it.

  8. LOL The middle of someone's body is called "WAIST" not "WASTE". Do you think it's sexy when a woman swings her POO around to the beat of the music? lol good thing you're pretty buddy.

  12. a very introspective article on dancing! it's nice that you see/feel more to it than just the obvious. when it's done right, it' s a natural high that leaves every cell in ur body enlightened and energized and connected!

  13. i wasn't saying it in a negative or judgmental way. i wasn't discrediting the content of his blog post. published authors have people to filter things like that, and readers notice mistakes. i was just helping him out.

  16. The question now is, who's gonna be the confident guy to walk up to dance with the dancing queen? Because from my experiences, most guys just stand back and watch. Don't make me wave my finger at you to come over ;-)

  17. Vinny,

Your blogs are always fun, fresh, and down to earth. You call it how you see it and your perspective is always relatable! I can hardly wait till your next one 

    Props for Vinny 

  18. haha niice! I think the worst thing is when a guy actually picks a girl up in the club. Not speaking for all the ladies out there but for me, it scares the living shit out of me! But regardless I do agree, dance is a wonderful thing! it brings us all together.

  19. Yes, totally true. The other side of it is women have ALWAYS had a probelm w me. No I am not a bitch, overly devastatingly attractive or arrogant. I am just down to earth, open, confident and always have had guy friends because typical women just can't hang. I have noticed most women travel in "herds", can't step out of their click w/out feeling vulnerable and love to sit back and gossip about women like me. It has always blown my mind....this thing called inner confidence. Not many have it and so many want it. What's so bad about being comfortable in your own skin, where ever ur at and whatever ur doing. Who really cares what others think as long as ur having fun, feeling the vibe and taking in the moment...right? Good blog Vin...always enjoy checking it out. Keep writing. :)

  20. Vinny, you honestly could not be more of an annoying poser. The Situations was right -- you are a FOLLOWER. You are not "real" or "cool, in your face" or even politically incorrect. That is who you want to be. Stop thinking you are a ladies man! Most of the girls you get are ridiculously ugly, or if they are pretty, they are obviously using you to get on TV.

I also find it HILARIOUS that you thought you would be smart enough to go to law school. In case you haven't noticed, they only accept TALENTED writers (obviously unlike yourself) into law school.

If you ever responded to this (which you wouldn't), you would probably say that if I'm such a hater then I shouldn't/wouldn't bother writing to you. Untrue...I am indeed a "hater" but I really felt it necessary to write this on the off chance you see it because your ego has ballooned so much, and everyone kisses your ass so much, that I felt you might want a little dose of reality.

Without your pure luck of making it onto the show, you would still be the ugly mama's boy Staten Island trashbag. Actually, you still are that, but now that you're on TV, you and millions of other idiots actually believe you are attractive or humorous. Seriously dude, get over yourself and maybe you'll have a shot at being able to live with your pathetic self.

P.S - I am a 24 year old girl who is way hotter than anyone you could get. So don't even try and say that I am just jealous of you or your lifestyle. I'm not. I don't envy sleeping with meatballs or being the butt end of every late night TV joke.

  21. You have alot of soul & for you wanting to get that right connection tells me you got it all as well

  22. i am impressed vinny. i really really enjoy your posts. you say it like it is, no shame. i love it, wish more people were like you. just the right amount of humor and seriousness to keep me in it.

  23. I love this post, because I myself am a crazy dancer! My girls know that when I go to a club, I'm going to dance, and there's nothing no one can do about it! Now usually when I'm dancing, my girls are right there by my side, but me and my friends being 4-5 inch heel kinda girls, they tend to need breaks. Not to mention the nights we go out in larger groups, girls and guys, and the guys tend to chill around the bar or VIP booths, a lot of times the girls will chill with them. There are a number of times where I've gotten lost from EVERYONE in my group (reassured, I'm ALWAYS in the same place) and after looking briefly, they normally rend to know exactly where to find me, whether it be by myself, or with a guy, or with a group of girls who said he, this girl can dance, what up?! If I'm not at the bar buying a drink/shot, I am on the d-floor! Oh yeahh!

  24. Dancing is the one language everyone can understand and communicate with each other!

I am a very good dancer, my body moves with the rythem in a very confident way :))

  26. Brilliant, you are an observant young man, well done!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree AND disagree with this. The girls that can dance well DO usually have a lot of confidence. But then there are also those of us that have plenty of confidence that are wayyyy uncoordinated and have two left feet. Shit, my drunk ass was at a karaoke bar and fell just standing and sprained both ankles and my left foot. LOL. But, when I have gone to dance clubs with a couple of girl friends, I have noticed that some girls can DEFINITELY shake some ass. I can...once I get a little liquid courage in me. I'm just mostly uncoordinated. LOLOL. <3

  30. Wow, first off, u have some werid haters. Why would someone bother to read what u write, just to then trash u? I dont get it.
U r right. There are women who have IT. All that it is, is self confidence. There arent that many women (young or old) who really have it. Most peopl call it being stuck up, or being a bitch.
I have IT. I got it when I was about 12, & in the middle of the nite one nite. I let go of thinking about what other people thought of me, & made the choice to only care about what I think of me.
I LOVE the chase. Before my husband, if a guy said the words "I love u", I ran. I didnt need their love. I needed them to want me. Once I had them, I got bored.
Grenades are the opposite of what u just described. They are DTF, not cause they r DTF, but because they DONT have IT. They think the way to get IT is in ur pants. Dont they watch the show. Do u guys ever call any of them back?
Yes, I have been w my husband for 15yrs. It doesnt stop me from making sure I look the way I think I should look when we go out. I dress for myself, not for him. It also doesnt stop me from walking into a bar w my shoulders back & head held high. He sees the looks. I always tell him in his ear, when we walk in & the looks start... dont sweat it hon, whos bed I am sleeping in tonite & everynite after this? U can all watch, but he is the one who gets the benefits :)

  33. I don’t mean to be a jerk Vin (though I certainly will come off as one), but this looks like a blog I wrote on MySpace when I was in 6th grade. You’d do well in taking a few college level writing courses for both your grammar and vocabulary (good advice for many of your fans as well, unfortunately).

On the other hand, you’re funny in reality and you’ve got a good heart, so no one can hold these faults against your benighted soul. Keep up the antics! Everyone needs a little humbling when in the spotlight; I hope this hits home!

  41. I'm pretty sure you should write for a women's magazine...have an advice column. and I mean that in the best way.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I vehemently disagree. I am a 100% CONFIDENT, INDEPENDENT, INTELLIGENT, WELL EDUCATED, PASSIONATE FEMALE AND I DO NOT DANCE.
I have a high sex drive and am still good in bed. or at least I have been told ;P
I do not dance though and it's not b/c I'm not confident or I'm "worried" what people may think. I have danced it's just not my think.
I don't "get off on it" like some people may but I guarantee you that I have ever bit as much swagger, intensity and lascivious passion. I just prefer to 'direct' and outlet my emotions in different ways. Doesn't mean I'm not hot and steamy. My point: you can still HAVE "IT" BUT NOT BE A DANCER...
Try not to get swayed by superficial things that could get in the way of a potential mate. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, it seems like too much of a broad generalization. Also, if you're limiting yourself to women who dance only you may miss out on a woman who IS "IT" AND IS THE ONE :)
    GOOD LUCK!!!!

  43. Wonderfully said. I can't get over how well you write. Love it, love you!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm extremely disappointed in the few people that took the time out of their day to be negative. I love that you have a blog and take your time to let people get a little insight. Laura was wrong to say she is "way hotter than anyone you could get" for many reasons. First being that personality makes a person beautiful, and obviously she is malicious and concieted in the same breath. Second, not everyone that thinks you're attractive is blinded by television. I think you are a great looking man, and I LOVE that you are a mamas boy. The last thing I am going to point out is that she mocked your intelligence... Well, I believe that verbally attacking others shows a lack of intelligence.

Now that I've got that off my chest, I really enjoy your writing. It flows well and keeps me interested. I agree with you on some things and disagree with others - great contrast.

  45. Hey there Mr. Vinning ;)

Great blog! Not only is it so well written, but it brings a smile to my face because I feel like you're talking about me lol.

I'm a professional Ballerina and Tango dancer....it's many hours of insane hard work and takes so much discipline. So when I go out I just wanna let loose, not take anything seriously and just have a pure good time. Just as the saying goes, "work hard and party harder"!!! This brings some sense of balance to my life otherwise I would go nuts with just work, work, work lol.

I wish we could dance together so I could show you my moves ;) You would be my perfect critic!

  47. I like what PatienceWebb had to say!!!! I could care less to be on tv! I would rather someone not be up my ass trying to watch my life to toss it out to the rest of the world. I don't understand why someone would waste there time reading what he has to say and take the time to type shit up on him. Obviously someone likes him more than they wanna admit or else they wouldn't waste time reading it. I like Vinny personality on Jersey Shore. He has a sweetness to him and now as slutty as the other boys!! But, I know reality that there isn't a chance in hell to meet him or have any kind of friendship or whatever so I don't drool over him and find someone that's worth trying to be with!!!!

SO....FYI- if you don't like Vinny then don't waste your time trying to bash on someone you don't care about! DUH!

    ReplyDelete
  48. What about girls who are socially awkward nerds with almost no social life? If that does it for you then you should take a gander at my daily rantings. My life is just like Sex in the City, only if SJP were to eat tacos alone over her sink in her sweat pants on a friday night!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Okay, you can go ahead and marry me then ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am extremely disappointed that the majority of you are inflating an ego which shouldn't be as big as it is. Were this blog read apart from the fact that it was written by Vinny, nobody would ever think this was creative, entertaining, or with something special behind it. They'd see it as the inane blog of some man who, still thinking like a boy, has yet to evolve from adolescent pursuits (not to mention grammar and writing style, if I can reiterate).

Do you really think this is masculinity? This is sexy? This is the kind of man you'd like to marry? If you do, then I pray you too grow out of this pubescent understanding of relationships and discover what the poets describe as love.

Point being this: Vinny's a good guy, but he's no literary figure nor an insightful blogger. If you enjoy the blog, state the real reason, being you get to learn the inner-workings of a man you enjoy watching on television. Please don't confuse that with reading an actual blog with talent, technique, ingenuity, or poetic "swagger", to quote Vinny himself. He, most certainly, does not have IT.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Cautious_Observer

    You do have a point!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. BTW- I am the one who "disagreed" a couple posts above. I am NOT TRYING TO "WIN VINNY OVER" with my response. I am married, could care less.
Perhaps my response was too poignant for most of you.
WHAT I MEANT WAS QUITE SIMPLY: You do not have to be a dancer or even dance to have all of his aforementioned traits and if Vinny ONLY dates "women who dance" he may miss out on a potentially wonderful woman.
I am by no means insinuating that WOMAN IS ME.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Vinny.. you're the best. I love the fact that you and Pauly D are now so close on the show (and I guess real life) because you both have such great personalities. So tell us pleeease what you really think about the "Situation"..I'm so interested to know. The guy is a psychotic sociopath, I'd be scared to sleep in the same house with him in it... but everyone on the show seems so reluctant to really speak their mind about him. why?
i know you probably won't reply but.. you're awesome! i wish you a lot more success in the future. :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. To PatienceWebb,

It's funny that you say verbally attacking someone shows a lack of intelligence when that is exactly what you just did to me. I'm not even sure how that shows a lack of intelligence anyway, as very smart people (world leaders, lawyers, etc.) "attack" people all the time. I wouldn't even consider what I said an attack, more of an observation that he opened himself up to, really. Secondly, I wouldn't make judgements about my personality based on one blog comment. I'm neither malicious nor conceited. Not that personality seems to matter much to the person you are defending (Vinny), as evidenced by the slime he hooks up with.

Like someone said, what he writes wouldn't be considered good writing if it were by someone without a TV show background, and would be something written on a 6th grader's MySpace page. All I said was that I found it entertaining that he thought he had enough talent to make it as a skilled professional.

Don't forget that someone who enters the entertainment world knows what comes with the territory. And that includes debate and criticism on their opinions, statements, and behaviors. I simply posted a comment in hopes that Vinny, along with his cult followers, would realize that he is not so awesome and in hopes that Vinny would stop speaking out of his highly inflated ego. I'm conceited? Have you seen the way Vinny views himself? THAT is conceited. Perhaps you should reference the dictionary.

By the way, it's not like I'm taking up a huge chunk of time to write this, unlike people who spend hours reviewing every word they write in here hoping against hope that their "idol" will read it. I honestly don't care that much. Like I said, I'm trying to snap you people out of it.

    -Laura

P.S. - You think Vinny is attractive but say you are not blinded by TV? You wouldn't even know Vinny existed if it weren't for TV. I guess Webster must have changed the definition of attractive, because it never used to include people with scumbag personalities, bitch tits, and a beat face. (Again though, I'll stress that my problem with Vinny is not the way he looks, but the way he acts).

  90. Let her lead you with her waste.

I think you are smart enough to know that if you play in garbage, you'll smell like trash too. There is no double standard.

  91. I love to dance. It makes me happy. And it's the only time I don't mind being free to express a more private side to my personality. It surprises people. Normally I'm the sensible, mysterious one but when I'm in my zone, moving with the beats - I could be anywhere in the world. Its sexy. Its pure freedom.

  92. That just gave me a little boost of confidence. That's usually me when I'm out, walking, waiting, dancing and having fun. Plus, I've danced technical on and off since I was three. Good to know there are men out that that appreciate and respond to that. Guess I won't be single forever haha!

  93. Great advice!!! I've always said that. It's like you men can "smell" confidence, I swear. LOL. I never go out with intention to hook up. I go out to dance, and you men can't say no to a nice booty either.

Ugh. A boner poking me, is always a draw---good music, a boner poking--gotta take the good with the bad. It's just a little weird. Of course, it's also very flattering...ass + friction = boner, so...maybe not.

  94. Hi Vinny! I just wanted to give you a little vocab. lesson.
waste = garbage, trash, or as they say in Europe, rubbish.
waist = the part of the abdomen between the rib cage and hips, the narrowest part of the torso.

  97. Doesn't " Don’t worry you will have the upper hand later in the bedroom." slightly contradict your previous posting about our vagina being gold? I mean if she has IT then I don't think she's likely to sell out her golden tunnel as quickly as one dance or even several dances for that matter... If she has IT a guy she grinds on at a club one night will NOT suffice... Just sayin' ;)
Other than that you have an amazing way of explaining yourself, your go deep...;)

  102. dancing is beautiful art it all depends on what, and how... dancing with confidence can lead you to more than just confidence, also good self-esteem and over all, exposing natural beauty. movements lead to let oneself to being read (in certain aspects). not everyone has the ability to read and follow smoothly, meaning it also depends on who you're dancing with. if the person is scared... tends to push away the feeling...women definitely have the ability to dance a man into her arms if she knows exactly how to.. ;)

  103. Besides making sex wizardry gold mazing, if a woman can dance it speaks to many aspects of her personality. A good-dancing woman is a confident woman. The key to reading confidence is recognizing body language. Next time you see a girl who is a good dancer look at her shoulders. A confident person will always have their chin up, shoulders back (dancing necessity), totally exposed to the world without worrying Darkfall Unholy Wars Gold what she looks like because she knows “she got IT.”
